The Best Ways to Make Money Writing Reviews

Comments Off

Did you know that it is possible to make money writing reviews? Interested in how it all works? Want to know if it is for real? Alright then, let’s get down to learning how to make money writing reviews!

Before we start here are a couple of common terms that you need to understand;

Google AdSense: Google has an advertising system called AdSense that places ads on your site.. Every time that a visitor to your site clicks on one of these ads you get paid a very small percentage – and I mean small….. as in single figure cents. Most banner advertising is done using AdSense.

Pay Per View (PPV): Some article sites will pay you by the number of people who view your review or article.

Traffic: The number of people who view your page, site or blog.

How do we make money writing reviews?

Three US sites that will pay you to write reviews for them are;.

  • reviewstream.com
  • sharedreviews.com
  • epinions.com
  • Helium.com and Associated Content.com will also pay US citizens for high quality articles.

Now be warned that the pay is not great, around $2-$3 per article although some sites do run a performance based bonus scheme based on the number of views that you article gets.

Blogging is a great way to start to make money writing reviews. By setting up your own blog you get the opportunity to make money writing reviews three ways;

1) Allow AdSense on your blog. Every time that someone clicks on one of the ads on your page you will get paid a certain percentage.
2) Sponsored reviews – If you have a blog that is old enough and getting good traffic then there are programs that will ‘sponsor’ you to write about their product.
3) Affiliate Marketing – By being an affiliate of the product that you are reviewing you get the opportunity to earn far more than being sponsored or getting a one off payment.

When you are an affiliate for a product you are able to write your review and include links directly to the sales page of the product you are promoting. Whenever anyone clicks on your link, goes to the sales page and buys the product you get a percentage of the sale. The percentage of the sale price can vary from 5% to 75% depending on the product.

This is a fantastic way to make money writing reviews because of the lasting effect of our work, the freedom that we can enjoy by writing about products that we really like and the residual income that can come from it.

The Importance of Hiring an SEO Writer

The first step in getting customers is to get them to your website to begin with. You have to use every possible avenue to do this. This includes telling people about your website, advertising and most importantly, search marketing. Free traffic naturally is the best kind of traffic. What is even better is someone hitting your website because they were searching for it!

There is nothing better for the growth of your online business than organic traffic. Every website owner in the world covets it. By now, you are wondering how you can get your share. You already know the answer of course, and that is through CONTENT. Writer services are in business to help you with the content end of your business, while you concentrate on the money making part.

You can definitely write the content yourself, but where would you find the time? Many of us already put in super-long days. You have to out-source at least some of your writing in order to keep up with the demand. Simply put, if you have a little content, and a lot of banners and your competitor has a lot of content, he’s going to get the visitor every time.

You can just hire any service to do the work for you either. If you have an English-speaking website, why would you want to hire someone who speaks another language to write your content for you? You have to remember that you get what you pay for. If you hire someone to write your content, and they are not able to use the verbs in the proper context, that article is not going to make much sense to the English speaking person reading it, and at the very least you are going to give them the impression that you are an uneducated amateur.

You are putting long hours to build your business. Why risk it over something so trivial? Repeatedly, people hire non-English speaking writers because they are cheap, and then end up re-writing the articles so that they make sense. Take your time and search around for a suitable writer that is within your budget. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for as I mentioned earlier. If you want good SEO content, chances are it is going to cost you more than a dollar for 500 words. That article, if written correctly, will last your site a lifetime so do not cut yourself short.

Articles should be “evergreen”. This means that they fit the time, whatever that may be, that someone is reading it. There is a lot more to it than that, but that is a good start.

Marketing Your Self Help Book Online: Article Click-Through

Writing articles is a powerful and effective way to spread the word of your book, speaking business or website. Using bits and chunks of your book you have a vast source of short articles to publish and drive traffic with. But online articles are different than print. With print the money is made when the reader purchases the magazine. With online articles, the money isn’t made until the reader clicks out on the link in the article and goes to the website to purchase. How then can we get as many readers as possible to click out?

A “call to action” is needed to get readers to click on a link. You want to suggest to your reader that a benefit awaits at the other end of the link. Often, posing a question that the reader really needs to know the answer to can do the trick. At the end of most articles you will publish on the web, there is appended an “author resource box” or bio profile. You fill this out yourself and it is usually a blurb about you, the author. Most authors simply say something like: “Bob Jones is an expert on leadership. Visit him at XXXX.com”

This just tells people that they are going to another website and they don’t even know why. A better way is to cloak the website link in a phrase that piques the readers interest and pose a question that begs an answer first: “How can you take your leadership skills to the highest level of success? Bob Jones, an expert on leadership skills, gives you the number one secret to building yourself into the leader of tomorrow.”

The words “number one secret” is the clickable link. The reader is pulled away from thinking it is just another website and gives them the psychological impression that the link is a resource or an answer to the question. Of course, it is a website, but now the reader can identify a purpose for visiting. A benefit has been established and a call to action has been made in their heads. Try this with your next article and watch the clicks go through the roof!
